Andrea Di Stefano ha studiato recitazione all'Actors Studio di New York all'inizio degli anni '90 e successivamente ha diretto i ben accolti thriller indie statunitensi "Escobar: Paradise Lost", con Benicio del Toro, e "The Informer", prima di tornare in Italia per girare "L'ultima notte di Amore", che vede protagonista Pierfrancesco Favino ("Il traditore", "Nostalgia") nel ruolo di un tenente di polizia di nome Franco Amore.
