Martin John Christopher Freeman (nato l'8 settembre 1971) è un attore inglese. Tra gli altri riconoscimenti, ha vinto due Emmy Awards, un BAFTA Award e un Screen Actors Guild Award. È stato candidato per un Golden Globe. I ruoli più noti di Freeman sono quelli di Tim Canterbury nella serie mockumentary The Office (2001–2003), il dottor John Watson nella serie britannica di crime drama Sherlock (2010–2017), il giovane Bilbo Baggins nella trilogia cinematografica de Lo Hobbit (2012–2014), Lester Nygaard nella prima stagione della serie dark comedy-crime drama Fargo (2014) e Chris Carson in The Responder (2022–presente).
