Jonathan Banks (nato il 31 gennaio 1947 a Washington, D.C.) è un attore statunitense, conosciuto per le sue interpretazioni intense di personaggi duri, complessi e spesso ambigui, diventando uno dei caratteristi più apprezzati del cinema e della televisione americana. Ha iniziato la sua carriera negli anni settanta, partecipando a numerose produzioni cinematografiche e televisive, prima di ottenere maggiore notorietà grazie al ruolo del detective Frank McPike nella serie Un giustiziere a New York. Nel corso degli anni ha recitato in importanti film come 48 ore, Beverly Hills Cop - Un piedipiatti a Beverly Hills e Flipper, dimostrando una grande versatilità nei generi d'azione, thriller e drammatici. La consacrazione internazionale è arrivata con il ruolo di Mike Ehrmantraut nella serie televisiva Breaking Bad, personaggio diventato iconico grazie alla sua interpretazione fredda, controllata e ricca di sfumature.
