The Freshman (1990)
Clark Kellog is naar New York gekomen om aan de filmacademie te gaan studeren. Deze plattelandsjongen maakt geen beste start in de grote stad, want binnen een half uur is hij beroofd van zijn bagage en al zijn geld. Er zit niets anders op dan een baantje te zoeken. Zo komt Clark in contact met Carmine Sabatini, een heer van stand met een beeldschone dochter. Maar Sabatini blijkt ook de leider van de georganiseerde misdaad te zijn. De eerstejaars student komt al snel tot de conclusie dat de werkelijkheid spannender is dan alles wat hij ooit op het witte doek heeft gezien.
