The Way We Were (1973)
Katie Morosky is een politiek activist die haar communistische denkbeelden probeert te verspreiden. Tijdens haar studie ontmoet ze Hubbell Gardner, die niet geïnteresseerd is in politiek maar liever aan sport doet. Ondanks hun verschillende denkbeelden raken ze verliefd op elkaar. Jaren later, als Gardner terugkomt uit militaire dienst, komen ze elkaar weer tegen.
