The Secret of Seagull Island (1982)
Carey vliegt naar Rome om haar blinde zus Mary Ann te bezoeken, die daar aan een muziekacademie studeert. Maar Mary Ann is spoorloos verdwenen. Barbara zoekt daarom hulp bij Martin Foster, een medewerker van de Britse ambassade, en bij politie-inspecteur Casati. Casati vermoedt dat er een verband kan zijn tussen de verdwijning van Mary Ann en de onopgeloste zaak van een dode vrouw die met uitgestoken ogen op de bodem van de oceaan is vastgebonden. Alles wijst op een psychopathische moordenaar met een voorliefde voor blinde vrouwen. Dan ontmoet Mary Ann ook de mysterieuze David Malcolm , die een speciale genegenheid lijkt te hebben voor blinde meisjes. Ze doet alsof ze blind is en raakt bevriend met Malcolm en verhuist met hem naar het mysterieuze Seagull Island...
