Nadat een booreiland midden in de Golf van Mexico is aangevallen door haaien, worden Dane Quatrell en een team ingeschakeld om de situatie te onderzoeken. Als ze op het platform aankomen, zijn de haaien er nog steeds, ze hebben een voorliefde voor menselijk bloed ontwikkeld en ze gaan niet weg voordat hun honger is gestild.
