Papa Was a Preacher (1986)
Edwin Porter, een methodistische predikant, wordt naar een kleine kerk in het kleine stadje Sterling, Texas, gestuurd om te proberen deze te redden van financiële insolventie. De verhuizing komt plotseling en wordt bemoeilijkt door het feit dat Porters vrouw en acht kinderen zich allemaal erg op hun gemak voelen in de grote, succesvolle kerk die ze in Dallas hebben gediend.
