Wilde (1997)
Wilde portretteert het leven van de beroemde toneel- en romanschrijver Oscar Wilde. Wilde was gelukkig getrouwd en had 2 zonen. maar op 36 jarige leeftijd ontdekt hij dat zijn seksuele voorkeur toch meer naar mannen uitgaat. Zijn grote liefde, Lord Alfred Douglas, alias Bosie, heeft een gewelddadige vader die Wilde publiekelijk beschuldigt van pervers gedrag. Dit leidt tot de beroemde Wilde processen en hij wordt veroordeeld tot 2 jaar dwangarbeid. Hierna probeert Oscar Wilde toch weer met zijn gezin een gelukkig bestaan op te bouwen, maar hij kan zijn Bosie niet vergeten. De consequenties zijn desastreus als de geliefden zich met elkaar herenigen.
