Ergens in de 19e eeuw in Zwitserland: na een uitzinnige nacht van drinken creëren drie herders die helemaal alleen in de Alpen zijn met hun ketel een vrouwelijke pop van stof en een vreemd gevormde houten wortel. Wanneer hun creatie tot leven komt in de vorm van een kwaadaardige en mooie vrouwelijke demon, moeten ze vrezen voor hun leven...
