Escape from Zahrain (1962)
Yul Brynner speelt politiek leider Sharif die uit een politiebusje wordt gehaald op weg naar een vuurpeloton door jonge loyalisten onder leiding van Sal Mineo. Yul en de andere gevangenen ontvoeren een ambulance en trekken de Arabische woestijn in, terwijl de politie de achtervolging ingaat. Alle vertolkingen zijn magnifiek: Sal Mineo laat zijn acteertalenten horen, Jack Warden in een wiseguy-optreden als medewerker van Zahrain Oil die betrokken was bij verduistering, Anthony Caruso als slijmerige psychoticus en de ondergewaardeerde Madlyn Rhue als verpleegster die emotioneel betrokken raakt bij de procedure.
