But Not for Me (1959)
Uit hit ideeën en schijnbaar in de nadagen van zijn carrière, besluit Broadway-producent Russ Ward het spel op te geven. Maar wanneer Russ zijn huwbare secretaresse, Ellie Brown, ontslaat, schokt ze hem met een liefdesverklaring. Geïnspireerd beveelt Ward toneelschrijver MacDonald om zijn nieuwste show te herschrijven als een romance in mei-december met Brown zelf in de hoofdrol. Ward worstelt om een comeback te maken als zijn ex-vrouw, Kathryn, een plan smeedt om zijn nieuwe relatie te beëindigen.
