Rainy Lawson heeft haar handen vol aan het vervullen van de schoenen van haar vader als sheriff in het conservatieve berggraafschap Gibson, Georgia. Haar leven wordt ingewikkelder als er berichten opduiken over een bovennatuurlijke moordenaar, waarvan wordt gezegd dat het een wieldop is.
