What Maisie Knew (2013)
De zevenjarige Maisie is de speelbal in een voogdijzaak tussen haar moeder Susanna, een oude rockster, en haar vader Beale, een belangrijke kunsthandelaar. In een poging om de strijd om de voogdij te winnen trouwt Beale met Maisie's oppas Margo, waarna op haar beurt Susanne trouwt met de lokale barman Lincoln. Op die manier worden Margo en Lincoln gedwongen deel uit te maken van deze onderlinge vete en krijgen ze sympathie voor Maisie's positie, en uiteindelijk voor elkaar.
