The Music Man (1962)
Oplichter Harold Hill strijkt neer in het plaatsje River City om daar zijn beproefde truc uit te halen. Hij doet zich voor als leraar voor een jongens-fanfareband en probeert de lokale bevolking warm te maken om geld te geven voor zo'n band. Met het geld tracht hij zich vervolgens uit de voeten te maken aangezien hij geen verstand heeft van muziek. Helaas wordt hij door een bibliothecaresse betrapt en wordt hij ook nog eens verliefd op haar.
