Angels with Dirty Faces (1938)
Rocky Sullivan is een charismatische zware jongen die zich vanuit het getto naar de top van de onderwereld opwerkt. Hij wordt op handen gedragen door het jonge grut uit de sloppenwijken, totdat Eerwaarde Connolly, Rocky’s jeugdvriend, zich plechtig voorneemt om paal en perk te stellen aan diens slechte invloed.
