Registratie van het laatste concert van de legendarische groep 'The Band', met een behoorlijk aantal beroemde muziekvrienden en een heus orkest. Onder anderen Eric Clapton, Muddy Waters, Bob Dylan, Dr. John en Neil Diamond geven acte de presence. Het concertmateriaal wordt afgewisseld met beelden van repetities en interviews met de verschillende bandleden.
