Op 13 december 1974 vond in de kathedraal van Reims een even onwaarschijnlijke als uitzonderlijke gebeurtenis plaats: een concert tussen de popzanger Nico en de groep Tangerine Dream. Deze gebeurtenis veroorzaakte destijds een enorm schandaal, sommigen zagen het als de ontheiliging van een heilige plaats. Uit de organisatie van het concert ontstaat een portret van de undergroundscene in Frankrijk.
