Romulus, My Father (2007)
Romulus (Eric Bana), een Roemeense immigrant, probeert het beste te maken van zijn leven op het Australische platteland. Voor zijn 10-jarige zoontje Rai is hij een grote held, voor zijn vrouw Christina (Franka Potente) is hij een mislukkeling. Christina heeft het gezin verlaten en woont in Melbourne. Wanneer zij samen met haar minnaar terugkeert, ontstaat een verwarrende en moeilijke periode voor vader en zoon. Romulus houdt zich sterk, maar naarmate de geestelijke toestand van Christina labieler wordt, ziet Rai zijn vader veranderen in een emotioneel wrak. Is er verlossing mogelijk?
