Stap aan boord voor een kersttraktatie terwijl Channel 4 een ritje maakt op een van de meest pittoreske treinen ter wereld. In deze seizoensspecial, ingesproken door Hugh Bonneville, boeken we een ticket voor de illustere Bernina Express en ervaren we onderweg wat feestelijke magie. We volgen de reis terwijl de trein reist van Chur, de oudste stad van Zwitserland, door enkele van de meest spectaculaire, steile en verbluffende Alpenlandschappen van Europa, en eindigt in de prachtige stad Tirano in Italië. Onderweg bezoeken we enkele mensen die leven en werken met de bergen van de Alpen als achtergrond.
