The Secret of Roan Inish (1994)
De 10-jarige Fiona wordt naar haar grootouders in het kleine visdorpje Dongal gestuurd. Ze raakt al snel bekend met de lokale legende, die vertelt dat een van haar voorouders trouwde met een selkie, een zeehond die in een mens kan veranderen. Jaren terug werd haar jongere broer meegenomen door de stroming van de zee en iedereen dacht dat de zeehond hem had opgevoed. Als Fiona op een dag haar broertje denkt te zien, besluit ze een onderzoek te starten omtrend het mysterie.
