The President's Cake (2025)
Terwijl de inwoners van Irak in de jaren 90 te midden van de oorlog en voedseltekorten proberen te overleven, eist Saddam Hoessein dat elke school in het land een taart bakt om zijn verjaardag te vieren. De 9-jarige Lamia krijgt de opdracht een taart mee naar school te nemen voor de verplichte verjaardagsviering van de president. Tegen de achtergrond van verlammende armoede en voedseltekorten reist zij van het platteland naar de stad, naarstig op zoek naar de benodigde ingrediënten.
