The Awful Truth (1937)
Jerry en Lucy Warriner gaan scheiden. Lucy krijgt de zorg over hun hond, maar Jerry krijgt het voor elkaar dat hij de hond regelmatig kan bezoeken. Ze proberen reeds voor hun scheiding elkaars plannen om te hertrouwen te laten mislukken. Jerry wil hertrouwen met de uit hoge kringen afkomstige Barbara Vance, Lucy met de rijke oliebaron Daniel Leeson.
