To Walk with Lions (1999)
De legendarische natuurbeschermer George Adamson (Richard Harris), beroemd door 'Born Free', leidt een uniek leeuwen-opvang-programma in Kenia. Tony Fitzjohn (John Michie), een jonge Engelsman zonder een rooie cent, wordt zijn assistent. George, kinderloos, vindt in Tony een zoon. Als wees vindt Tony de vader die hij nooit heeft gekend. Samen nemen ze tientallen gevangen leeuwen vanuit de hele wereld op om ze weer terug te zetten in het wild. Deze actie-avonturenfilm geeft de meedogenloze brutaliteit weer van stropers en het gevaar dat leeuwen te duchten hebben van plaatselijke veehoeders. De gebeurtenissen in deze film zijn waargebeurd, zoals de moord in 1989 op George Adamson die tijdens een zoektocht naar de schatten van zijn land is vermoord door de strijdende 'Shifta'-bandieten.
