Cliff Starkey (Paul Kaye) is de grootste uitzuigende rotjongen die je tegen kunt komen. Elke dag nieuwe streken en elke dag weer in de problemen. Zijn rustige woonplaats heeft niets dat hem kon inspireren, behalve dan de bowling vereniging. Chique, statig, alles volgens de regels, jarenlange tradities en keurige uniformen....helemaal niets voor de brutaal en heftig reagerende Cliff, behalve dat hij de sport fantastisch vindt, zijn eigen regels maakt en nog zeer succesvol is ook. Moet de gevestigde orde hem accepteren of kunnen ze nog om hem heen...?
