Forever Lulu (2000)
Lulu McAfee (Griffith) is een romantische maar schizofrene vrouw, die in een verzorgingstehuis in San Francisco woont. Op een dag besluit ze naar Los Angeles te gaan om haar oude vlam en soulmate Ben Clifton (Swayze) te zoeken. Ben is nu een schrijver voor TV programma?s en heeft een ongelukkig huwelijk met psychiater Claire (Miller). Als ze elkaar weer ontmoeten, weet Lulu aan Ben een geheim te vertellen, namelijk dat ze samen een zoon hebben, die na hun relatiebreuk geboren is. Samen besluiten ze per auto op weg te gaan om hun zoon te bezoeken. Ondertussen reist Claire hen achterna om haar huwelijk te redden. Wat volgt is een bizarre en emotionele tocht naar hun verleden en de oorsprong van hun eeuwige band. Maar heeft Lulu wel de waarheid verteld over hun geheim gehouden zoon en welke emoties zal de autotocht teweegbrengen?
