Portret van Engelands meest beruchte en gewelddadige crimineel, Charles Bronson. Een man die 34 jaar van zijn leven in de gevangenis doorbracht, waarvan 28 jaar in eenzame opsluiting. Geboren als Michael Peterson, was zijn ambitie simpelweg beroemd te worden. Maar met de weinige kansen die hem geboden werden, was de onderwereld een aantrekkelijk platform voor zijn explosieve karakter, waarbinnen hij een maniakaal alter ego creëerde.
