Slow Burn (2005)
Officier van justitie John Cole heeft grote ambities en is van plan zich bij de volgende verkiezingen kandidaat te stellen voor het burgemeesterschap. Maar de zaken worden plotseling ingewikkeld wanneer zijn mooie plaatsvervanger, Nora Timmer, aankondigt dat ze een man heeft vermoord uit zelfverdediging. Plots verschijnt er ook een mysterieuze getuige, die beweert dat haar verklaring vals is. De tijd om de waarheid vast te stellen is kort en de situatie wordt elk moment warmer. Vooral omdat het duidelijk is dat er ook een grote maffiabaas bij de zaak betrokken is.
