Devil's Canyon (1953)
Voormalig maarschalk Billy Reynolds, nu eigenlijk een vredelievende boer in Arizona, zit in de gevangenis vanwege een fatale schietpartij. Ten onrechte handelde hij uit zelfverdediging, maar de jury ter terechtzitting zag dat anders. De gevangenisomstandigheden zijn erbarmelijk, temperaturen van boven de 35 °C en een sadistisch gevangenismanagement maken het dagelijkse leven in de gevangenis tot een hel. Bovendien heeft de wraakzuchtige moordenaar Jessie Gorman het op hem gemunt. Samen met zijn vriendin Abby Nixon begint hij een gevangenenopstand.
