Black Angel (1946)
Kirk Bennett wordt beschuldigd van de moord op de sexy zangeres Mavis Marlowe. Mavis is onlangs gescheiden van de pianist en songtekstschrijver, maar ook alcoholist, Martin Blair. Kirk heeft het dode lichaam van Mavis in haar appartement in het 'Wilshire House' aangetroffen en is meteen op de vlucht geslagen.
