Custody of the Heart (2000)
Claires eerste prioriteit is haar gezin. Wanneer haar man Dennis zijn baan als effectenmakelaar verliest, veranderen de traditionele gezinsrollen van het stel. Terwijl Dennis zijn nieuwe rol als thuisblijver op zich neemt, gaat Claires meubelontwerpbedrijf van start. Net nu ze de kunst van het balanceren van haar privé- en werkleven begint te beheersen, bezorgt Dennis haar scheidingspapieren en beschuldigt ze haar ervan een ongeschikte moeder te zijn. Claire ontdekt dat er in een moderne rechtszaal nog steeds traditionele vooroordelen bestaan die niet sympathiseren met het idee dat een vrouw drie banen heeft: als echtgenote, als ondernemer en als moeder.
