The Last Best Year (1990)
Omdat Jane Murray zich de laatste tijd nogal moe voelt besluit ze een arts te consulteren. Zijn diagnose veroorzaakt een grote schok: ze heeft leverkanker en volgens de statistieken heeft ze nog tussen de zes en acht maanden te leven. Jane zoekt steun bij psychologe Wendy Haller en zij geeft haar de kracht om de laatste maanden van haar leven intensief en zonder verbittering door te brengen.
