Music in Manhattan (1944)
Frankie Foster en Stanley Benson zijn een paar kleine artiesten. Beiden proberen het te bereiken na het winnen van een amateurtalentenwedstrijd. Hoewel dit hen naar een paar professionele optredens leidt, ontbreekt er iets in hun act en zijn ze niet populair. Frankie denkt dat een beetje geld hun carrière een boost zal geven en gaat naar Washington D.C. om te zien of haar rijke vader hen wil helpen. Onderweg wordt Frankie aangezien voor de vrouw van de bekende piloot Johnny Pearson en belandt zij in zijn suite, waar zij moet doen alsof zij zijn echtgenote is. Wanneer de piloot haar ontmoet, vliegen de romantische vonken er vanaf.
