The Optimists of Nine Elms (1973)
Sam, ooit een succesvolle music-hall act, probeert de eindjes aan elkaar te knopen als straatartiest in Londen. Met zijn ongewone kijk op het leven prikkelt hij de verbeelding van twee kinderen uit een arm arbeidersgezin, tot ongenoegen van hun vader, die alleen tijd heeft voor zijn fabriekswerk.
