NWA The Great American Bash '87: War Games (1987)
Dit was het eerste gebruik van de WarGames: The Match Beyond-wedstrijd, bedacht door Dusty Rhodes. Rhodes stond in beide evenementen aan de winnende kant, samen met de Road Warriors, Nikita Koloff en Paul Ellering. Koloff, Rhodes en J.J. Dillon liep tijdens de eerste ontmoeting ernstige verwondingen op. De Bash-serie vond de hele juli plaats op talloze locaties, te beginnen in Landover, Maryland in het Capital Center op 2 juli.
