Reach for the Sky (1956)
Douglas Bader (Kenneth More) is een vlotte piloot die na een vliegongeluk zijn beide benen verliest. Hij vecht zich weer terug in de cockpit, wordt door de nazi's boven Frankrijk neergeschoten, wordt krijgsgevangene, maar weet toch weer in Engeland terug te komen, net op tijd om een luchtvloot van drieduizend machines te leiden.
