Mozart and the Whale (2005)
Mozart and the Whale is een romantische en soms ook een tikkeltje dramatische comedy, geïnspireerd op het leven van twee mensen met het syndroom van Asperger. Deze vorm van autisme brengt emotionele stoornissen met zich mee die hun ontluikende liefde in de weg staan. Donald (Josh Hartnett) is een goedhartige, maar ongelukkige taxichauffeur met een voorliefde voor vogels en een bovenmenselijk gevoel voor getallen. Toch is hij ongelukkig. Donald leeft volgens vaste patronen en rituelen, zoals de meeste Asperger-patiënten. Maar als de mooie, maar gecompliceerde Isabelle (Radha Mitchell) zich bij zijn praatgroep voor autisten voegt, wordt zijn leven volledig op z'n kop gezet.
