Fort Apache, the Bronx (1981)
Fort Apache is de naam van het 41e politiedistrict in de New Yorkse wijk de Bronx. Een buurt waar de eindeloze oorlog tegen het hoge misdaadcijfer nog steeds gaande is. Murphy en Corelli zijn twee agenten die de criminaliteit samen aan banden moeten zien te leggen, in een wijk waar alleen de regels van de straat nog lijken te gelden. Als een aan drugs verslaafde hoer twee agenten vermoordt, wordt er een onderzoek ingesteld, echter zonder veel resultaat. De nieuw aangestelde politiekapitein Connolly blijft echter niet bij de pakken zitten en tracht via drastische maatregelen de misdaad in de wijk te bestrijden.
