Love Lies Bleeding (1999)
Jack the Ripper terroriseert Londen in 1888. De jonge getalenteerde journaliste Catherine Winwood begint aan haar eerste baan. De relatie tussen Catherine en de chirurg Jonathan Stevens dreigt uiteen te lopen, omdat haar verloofde mogelijk betrokken is bij de gruwelijke moorden van jonge prostituees in de wijk Whitechapel. Maar inspecteur Frederick Abberline arresteert een andere vermoedelijke chirurg.
