Mudar de Vida (1967)
Na het voltooien van zijn militaire dienst in de Angolese Onafhankelijkheidsoorlog, gaat Adelino terug naar het Portugese vissersdorp dat hij thuis noemt, maar ontdekt dat de vrouw van wie hij houdt met zijn broer is getrouwd. Overmand door bitterheid gaat hij op zoek naar werk op het platteland, waar hij Albertina ontmoet, een vrijgevochten jonge vrouw die hem uitdaagt om zijn leven te veranderen.
