About a Boy (2002)
Will is 38 maar gedraagt zich als een tiener. Hij is single, heeft geen kinderen en is nog steeds cool: hij rijdt in een snelle auto, gaat naar trendy clubs en weet welke sportschoenen je hoort te dragen. Hij heeft ook een perfecte manier gevonden om vrouwen te ontmoeten: hij gaat naar bijeenkomsten van alleenstaande ouders, waar veel vrouwen komen die een nieuwe leuke man zoeken, en doet alsof hij zelf ook een kind heeft. Via zo'n bijeenkomst ontmoet hij Marcus, de oudste twaalfjarige jongen ter wereld. Marcus is een beetje vreemd: hij luistert graag naar Joni Mitchell en Mozart, hij zorgt voor zijn moeder en hij heeft zelfs nog nooit sportschoenen gedragen. Langzaam ontstaat er een bijzondere vriendschap tussen de twee.
