Na de gebeurtenissen in Blackpool en de implosie van zijn leven en dromen, ging Ripley naar de lichten en casino's van Vegas. Daar ontdekte hij... God. Nu een soort dominee, is Ripley teruggekeerd naar zijn spirituele thuis en heeft hij Blackpool's eerste Chapel of Love in Vegas-stijl opgericht. Zijn vriend Patrick heeft hem een verzameling voetbal memorabilia nagelaten, waaronder de authentieke Jules Rimet WK-trofee, en twee rivalen zijn vastbesloten om hem in handen te krijgen...
