My First Mister (2001)
De 17-jarige Jennifer komt in opstand tegen haar omgeving. Ze raakt bevriend met de 49-jarige Randall Harris, die haar een baan geeft. Harris valt op een dag flauw op straat. Jennifer komt er dan achter dat hij ongeneeslijk ziek is. Ze verwijt hem dat hij de ziekte voor haar verborgen heeft gehouden. Hij raakt bevriend met een verpleegster in het ziekenhuis. Jennifer vindt een brief in het appartement van de man waaruit ze verneemt dat hij ooit getrouwd was. Ze gaat op zoek naar zijn ex-vrouw en ontdekt dat ze zes maanden eerder is overleden. Jennifer vindt de zoon van de man, die opgroeide in de overtuiging dat zijn vader al lang dood was. Ze overtuigt hem om Harris te bezoeken. Jennifers relatie met haar eigen familie verbetert. Uiteindelijk brengt ze haar ouders, Harris, zijn zoon en de verpleegster samen voor een feestmaal.
