She Fell Among Thieves (1978)
Tijdens een vakantie in de Pyreneeën in 1922 ontmoet de oprechte Engelse heer Richard Chandos (Malcolm McDowell, A Clockwork Orange, Heroes) de gemene Vanity Fair (Eileen Atkins, Cold Mountain). Meesteres van het torentje Chateau Jizreel en leider van een bonte bende criminelen, ze zal miljoenen erven als ze haar stiefdochter kan dwingen te trouwen. Chandos zet zijn verstand in tegen deze formidabele tegenstander en besluit de mooie jonge vrouw te redden. Maar Vanity Fair blijft hem een stap voor, een truc voor altijd achter de hand en moord in haar hart.
