De film vertelt het verhaal over een mislukte Mexicaanse karteldeal op de landelijke wegen van een grensstadje. De sheriff van het stadje moet samenwerken met de gepensioneerde sheriff die hij vervangen heeft, om de bron van de deal te onderzoeken en de mysterieuze huurmoordenaar van het kartel te stoppen.
