In januari 1985 ontving Tina in Californië twee prijzen bij de American Music Awards: één voor 'beste zangeres' en de andere voor 'beste video-actrice'. Een maand later, bij de Grammy Awards, stond Tina drie keer op het podium: als 'Best Singer', als 'Best Rock Singer' en als Creator van 'Best Song'.
