Macbeth (1948)
In het Schotland van de elfde eeuw ontmoet de edelman Macbeth een drietal heksen die hem voorspellen dat hij koning zal worden. Daarop besluit Macbeth de huidige koning te vermoorden, maar problemen ontstaan al snel en het wordt steeds moeilijker voor hem om zijn positie en zijn leven te behouden.
