The Survivors (1983)
Sonny Paluso ziet hoe zijn benzinestation in vlammen opgaat dankzij een achteloos weggegooide sigarettenpeuk. Donald Quinelle, een weinig succesvolle verkoopleider is net ontslagen door een papegaai, het troeteldier van zijn baas. Jack Locke, een huurmoordenaar ontdekt dat zijn bedrijf 'de Bende' het maar moeilijk heeft om te blijven bestaan. De drie mannen delen een gezamenlijk standpunt: hoe te overleven in een samenleving waar niemand veilig is voor de economische chaos van deze tijd.
