The Winslow Boy (1999)
Engeland, begin 20ste eeuw. De gepensioneerde bankier Arthur Winslow verneemt dat zijn 14-jarige zoon Ronnie wegens diefstal is weggestuurd van de zeevaartschool. Winslow gelooft in de onschuld van zijn zoon en zet zijn aanzienlijk fortuin, zijn gezondheid, de verloving van zijn suffragette-dochter Catherine en de studies van zijn oudere zoon in Oxford op het spel om de rechtszaak tegen de Royal Navy te winnen. De familie begint te twijfelen aan het nut van het proces dat hen hoe langer hoe meer schade lijkt te berokkenen.
