The Way Ahead (1944)
In juni 1940, na de ramp in Duinkerke, mobiliseerde het Britse leger burgers om hen het zware beroep van soldaat te leren. Onder hen bevonden zich zeven jonge dienstplichtigen onder het bevel van luitenant Jim Perry en sergeant Fletcher, die belast waren met het geven van intensieve training die maanden duurde. Aan het eind worden de manschappen naar het front gestuurd. Zullen ze op tijd klaar zijn om de vijand het hoofd te bieden?
